It's quite a fierce medical nowadays and he would be made to run on a treadmill for 10 minutes or so. Looking at him, I doubt whether he could do it.

You'd think in his own conscience there's no way would he ever want to drive again, my niece has blackouts from time to time and she's not allowed to drive at all.

He could still be prosecuted by the CPS for lying on his DVLA application - technically he has broken the law in Wales.Freedom wrote:http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-scotland-glasgow-west-33959101#"
The first private prosecution.

Families of the Glasgow bin lorry crash victims have walked out of the inquiry after the driver refused to answer questions.
Some relatives left before Harry Clarke started his evidence at Glasgow Sheriff Court and more walked out soon afterwards.
Taking the oath, Mr Clarke was told by Sheriff John Beckett QC he did not have to answer any questions which might incriminate him.
The council worker, who was appearing during the fifth week of the fatal accident inquiry, could face a future private prosecution over the tragedy in which six people died.

It shouldn't take a private prosecution imo, the poor relatives.
The authorities were far too quick to absolve him of blame imo.

I don't know how this man can even think of continuing to drive after what happened.

He`s becoming known as a stubborn, arrogant and seemingly heartless individual it seems - and doesn`t seem to care either.

Unbelievable but doesn't surprise me. What does surprise me is why the Scottish authorities seem to be breaking their back to keep this guy out of prison.

Re: Six people killed in lorry accident in Glasgow
To be fair, it was decided not to prosecute him initially as it was deemed to have been a tragic accident, caused by a previously unknown health condition, it was only when the Fatal Accident Inquiry got access to his medical records and found out about previous incidents that it became clear he had knowingly given false information to his employers.
Glasgow City Council initially waited until after the FAI before making a decision on his future, but as soon as the information came to light that he had in fact lied on his application form, the council have been trying to hold disciplinary measures meetings, which he then failed to attend, citing ill health. The procurator fiscal having already made the decision not to prosecute, effectively has its hands tied behind it's back, but they are certainly encouraging families who want to go after a private prosecution and that is why he became an utter A**hole at the FAI, refusing to answer the questions in case they incriminated him.
Even the families initially didn't want a prosecution as they all believed at that time that it was a tragic accident, and it is only now they know the truth about his deception and then subsequent behaviour at the FAI that they are now determined to do so, and I wholeheartedly support them.
As for this recent event, it shows what an arrogant, nasty piece of work he is and I hope they throw the book at him
