A groovy protest number from my beloved little purple friend - RIP dear Prince.

Was he famous? I had heard of him but he didn`t figure that much in the UK - maybe he was American.

That was one that I never took to myself. 

I haven't heard any reaction yet from Sinead O'Connor (who had a hit with the song) to the news of Prince's death. She has at times mentioned a very bizarre visit to his house.

Yes, it was very sad to read about her meltdown on Facebook. 

Her page has now been removed - she was posting rants about her two eldest children. Her younger two are I think in foster care due to her present illness.

There was also a weird bit that she had to contact her ex-husband urgently so that he could give his consent for her to have an operation.

The singer Billy Paul has died. Me and Mrs Jones holds strong memories for me.

There don't seem to be any other reports with that claim.

Here's my gut feeling for what if anything it's worth - an accidental overdose of prescription pills.

I read this morn that Prince had aids.

It hasn't been confirmed yet but there are reports that he, as a Jehovah's Witness, had declined treatment.

I don't know if it's just me but, if ever an actor is needed for a programme about Mick Philpott, the one who was the dad in the adverts will be an obvious choice!

Mrs Mangel was a legend. RIP.

I used to watch Neighbours until around 15 years ago so I do remember Mrs Mangel.

She had a good innings.

I still watch it although it's not the same as it was,Scott and Charlene's son was in it till recently and their daughter is in it now.

Will need to dig out my DVDs and watch the one's with Mrs Mangel,Plain Jane and Joe.
