I wouldn't think so TTWO. I would be more inclined to think the site has been monitored, people who gave their names (I did), and then maybe the checking of the electoral register. Lots of work I would
imagine, hence the reason no bank details will be revealed, I hope!
I would seriously doubt that costello. Unless a donor had a unique name a put it on GoFundMe in full, I doubt that method would work.
IIRC a lot of donors just put initials or first name on the comments?
Edit: Freedom beat me to it!
Yes I see what you mean TTWO. Not sure if I am correct here but didn't Ann Kristine take part in Sonia Poulton's documentary. I seem to remember Tony Bennett mentioning her username on CMoMM.

Wow. Incredible stuff. Thought it was all a load of hot air as well.
Can't believe they would actually do this.
So is it just one chap doing this... do the people who he's knocked on all live near each other then..
Maybe the DM are doing an honest article and genuinely want to know the reasons why good folk helped him out....
Or maybe not. Will get my coat.

Pamalam saved all the donation comments which included the names of those who donated. I am not sure if information could be taken from this?

It would be nice to think, in the aftermath of Hillsborough, that a national newspaper was interested in actually reporting the facts, as opposed to promoting their own version of it. After all, in the eyes of the law (and three judges) Amaral is in the right, and the people who funded him are heroes who saw an injustice and helped put it right.
I certainly won't hold my breath waiting for a piece like that from the Mail, though. Especially if, as is being said, the reporter had never even heard of Brenda Leyland.

Yes, but IMO only a few where the name is unique (and genuine). Otherwise the amount of work required to figure out who/where these people live would be silly.
The reports are talking of hundreds of people. How many individual donors were there?
There is of course a much simpler and easier method they could have got a list of hundreds of donors. Not the time to go there yet, though.

Well I'm gobsmacked
When you think how well the last attempt to doorstep a McCann critic went
“The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again, but expecting different results”

I'm not surprised. It seems to me that some or most of the press have a direct connection in this case that they are desperate to cover. In fact that would make three entities all running round like headless chickens desperately trying to cover their arses!

Had a quick google look at this Tom chap. Just out of short trousers by the looks of it.
Intrestingly he wrote an article back in December on the 'perfect murder'.
Not that it has anything to do with knocking on doors mind.

So actually it was Wayne who went round and Tom rang her up according to her updates.

A quick google of Ann-Kristine and you can see how the press got to her. No need to do any digging, she put her own address online.

That doesn't come up with anything relevant for me.
She attended Brenda Leyland's inquest and made a bit of a scene if I'm thinking of the right person so she might be easy to trace from there.

Re: Daily Mail doorstepping contributors to the Amaral fund???
How touching to read all those comments again. I trust the DM will comment on the number of serving and retired police officers who contributed and also how KM's sterling cycling efforts, backed by so many donors, contributed to Dr Amaral's fund!
By the way DM, I'm the only one - as far as I know - with my surname in this country and I live in Burton on Trent. If you want some really good quotes, I'll be happy to oblige.

The DM probably have a list of IP addresses from their comments section online. Most people thought it strange that they were allowing comments on their McCann articles. Just a thought.

You wouldn't be able to trace precise physical addresses from that though, surely.
According to my own IP address, I am a very well-travelled person but the reality is that I rarely leave my darkened room!

Pat did a blog back in Oct 14 and invited everyone to leave their personal details.
Lots did.

New Book The Truth is Out There
@ Andrew Is this the same one that was about a while ago last year that turned out to be a few documents full of inconsistencies? Did Chatelaine or Parapono not contact the author to point out the errors? Think that was a Dutch author too. Think it was called Lies and Deception then. Just sounds familiar but my brain is a bit fried just now.

Ah yes. Remember that now.
Can't recall if it's the same one. Prob a thread on it here somewhere, but don't know where.

From the Sun.

... I'm sure Gerry just writes this nonsense himself. Then hand delivers it with a brown paper bag.
A brown envolope I mean. He looked like he probably had a brown paper bag with him when was hacked off on the park bench that time.
