A weird and wonderful story about the first president of Malawi, Hastings Banda.

The teacher involved was at my school in the 1960s. He seemed very old and boring - had we known of the unusual living arrangements with him, his wife and Dr Banda, we might have thought differently of him!

We need a laugh so how about this one. This jolly jumbuck claims to be the son of Charles and Camilla, born in 1966 when they were teenagers. Not impossible of course but there's just a slight problem in that they didn't meet until 1970.

The original incident was of course no laughing matter - a tragic event - but the news that the victim's husband will be working on the film where she died is one of those WTF moments.
