This one is beyond belief.

I am very anti capital punishment except for what I call mad dog killers and these two certainly are in that category.

Saw reference to this elsewhere,don't know much about reddit but there are some cases where the child as disappeared in mysterious circumstances not unlike the McCann case.

What is even weirder is how I came across it.

I mentioned the "Nexium" cult in a previous post. Wondering if they had ever been active in Portugal, I did a search for the terms "NXIVM Portugal" and mostly got results relating to the last few week's revelations from the Portuguese press. So I tried "NXIVM Algarve" - the above case was the first result? Third result was Christine  Davies and children, and the fifth result was Rui Pedro. Second result was a DailyBeast(?) piece on you know who.

Would be fascinated to know how and why those results turned up!

It's a serious offence but I've never heard of a fine that high for drink driving before.

I remember this from the time. Highly unusual that somebody could commit such a violent crime and then disappear under the radar for many years.

They might have been on the radar,but its evidence,interesting to see where it will lead with the suspect being released under investigation,does that mean its still not strong enough?

I wonder if it could be the same man who was tried before?

Imagine how weird it would be if friends, celebrities, politicians and the media rallied round these two?

Whenever I hear of a child reported missing - especially when he or she is reported to have disappeared from their bedroom - I always wonder why the case is treated so differently to that of the McCanns.
