Colin Sutton seems to be the default man to go to,he was on the radio the other day talking about the cab rapist and his release.

Another case (like that of Margaret Fleming) where a person can disappear for years and nobody notices.

The determination to prove parental guilt in this case is in stark contrast to another case I could mention.

Yes I watched that about Rachel. I felt what a lot of rubbish went into that case ,made me think ,no wonder maddie was never found ,with the sort of things that gets done by police .joyce1938

I don't think it's fair to bring the Portuguese police into this - they certainly did their best, knowing as we do now the opposition they faced.

The Rachel case was horrific and the police were desperate to get the person responsible. Unfortunately Colin Stagg did fit the image of who that might have been. If I'd seen and heard him at the time saying "no comment" to the police questioning - the usual response of those who are as guilty as sin - I would have been convinced that he was guilty.

Hi ,I meant the british police ,not PJ,the case is just shelved by pj ,maybe will reopen at some time .I can see that the case would not be good idea in any court as it stands ,need a lot of good evidence ,or would be thrown out ,and no one would like to see that happen .joyce1938

It's very unusual for a trial to be held as quickly as this after the murder.
