http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-4159494/Fears-grow-11-year-old-schoolgirl-missing-overnight.html

Fears are growing for an 11-year-old schoolgirl who has gone missing overnight.
Winnie Maughan, from Epsom, Surrey, was last seen leaving her school at about 3pm on Wednesday.
Officers from Surrey Police say they are growing increasingly concerned for her welfare.
Winnie is described as white with freckles and long black hair.
She is likely to be wearing her school uniform of a black jacket, white blouse, black tie, shoes and tights.
She may also be carrying her black rucksack.

You probably heard about the missing young lad at the country estate with the barn fire that's been in the news of late.

Tragically they've just found his body:

I hadn't heard of that one.

What a dreadful story is this one too. Imagine the father finding his own teenagers and four others dead.

I read about that yesterday in the DM I think it was.

My first thoughts that it was a sort of tragic drug-taking experiment that went wrong.

Horrific stuff.

It was carbon monoxide poisoning as first thought.

I don't think I've heard about this missing woman before:

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-4180102/Woman-disappeared-year-ago-police-NO-clues.html

Grandmother, 57, disappeared 12 months ago and police still have NO clues despite the force’s biggest ever search
Missing mother Lorraine Ridout, 57, disappeared on January 31, 2016 in Cardiff
Despite police search helped by friends and family no clues have been found
Almost 1,000 lines of inquiry have been pursued by South Wales Police officers
It is the most extensive urban search South Wales Police has ever undertaken

I'm sure Ben Savage was mentioned on here somewhere before (young lad missing after a night out), but anyway sadly he's just been found:

A bizarre and tragic one:

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-4196984/Police-crash-driver-s-body-site-three-weeks-later.html

Police searching for a driver who disappeared after his car crashed through a motorway barrier find his body next to the site - three WEEKS later
Zahida Mirza's car crashed on the M6 in the West Midlands on January 15
The car had crashed through a barrier and was found abandoned nearby
West Midlands Police launched a search operation to find the 40-year-old
He was discovered at the scene of the crash last night - three weeks later
Police they would now refer its handling of the investigation to the Independent Police Complaints Commission (IPCC), as is usual in such circumstances

Never heard about this lad before going missing on Crete:

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-4234446/Remains-Greek-resort-man-vanished.html

Could a camera hold the key to what happened to a British tourist who disappeared on a Greek island 12 years ago? Workmen discover skeleton next to disposable device
Steven Cook vanished on a night out with friends in the resort of Malia in 2005
Workmen have now found a skeleton down a well which is being examined
A camera was discovered next to the remains and police are investigating
Islanders believe it may be Steven because there are very few unsolved missing persons in Crete

I don't know if this load of old baloney from 2 years ago has already been posted; the one good thing about it is that it doesn't mention the McCanns.

Tragedy: Five-year-old Charlie Dunn, from Tamworth, Staffordshire, died on 23 July 2016 following an incident at Bosworth Water Park, near Hinckley, Leicestershire

A man and a woman have been arrested after a boy drowned in a water park.

Five-year-old Charlie Dunn, from Tamworth, Staffordshire, died on 23 July 2016 following an incident at Bosworth Water Park, near Hinckley, Leicestershire.

At the time his mother Lynsey Dunn, 28, and step-father Paul Smith, 35, were taken into custody on suspicion of manslaughter by gross negligence.

They were initially released on bail before charges against them were dropped in December.

But today a man in his 30s and a woman in her 20s have been arrested on suspicion of manslaughter by gross negligence. They have also been arrested on suspicion of child neglect.

Police would not confirm if Charlie's parents have been re-arrested.

A Leicestershire Police spokesman said: 'A man and woman have this morning been arrested on suspicion of manslaughter by gross negligence.

'It follows an incident at Bosworth Water Park, near Hinckley, on 23 July 2016, in which five-year-old Charlie Dunn, who came from Tamworth, drowned.

'They have also been arrested on suspicion of child neglect.

'The man, who is in his 30s, and the woman, who is in her 20s, were arrested in Staffordshire this morning.'

That's a surprise as they were initially cleared.

My son received a begging letter today from the Children's Society.

"This month 6,904 children in England will have no choice than to run away from home". What a very precise figure - 6,904, not getting on for 7,000 - and is this every single month or just March 2017?

Money will of course help the society to deal with all these runaways including 15-year-old Maddie whose home was full of arguments and violence. I haven't made that up!

Here's how to donate. www.childrenssociety.org.uk/donatemaddie

Can I politely say... Well I do apologise for speaking out of turn... but it's a load of bollox.

Charities (exist only) for folk to donate. Anything or something...

If diddly then it folds. And so does the whole business set-up.

Investors won't risk that monkey business.

Parents face court over cold-case murder of Logan toddler

March 17, 2017 10:00 am/in National /by Rebecca Dakin
The parents accused of murdering their young toddler nearly a decade ago in Logan have appeared briefly in court.

Dina Colleen Bond, 43, and Shane Arthur Simpson, 49, were charged on Thursday over the death of 22-month-old Baden Bond, who hasn’t been seen since March of 2007.

Police revealed overnight they believe Baden was murdered by his parents sometime between March 26 and May 17 at Woodridge that year.

He wasn’t officially reported missing until last year and his body has never been found.

The pair appeared briefly in the Brisbane Magistrates Court on Friday.

They were remanded in custody and the case will return to court on April 10.

EARLIER 17/3/17 5:47AM | Police have charged a man and a woman over the cold case murder of a Logan toddler, who went missing a decade ago.

A 43-year-old Woodridge woman and a 49-year-old man, from Toormina on the NSW north coast, are both due to appear in the Brisbane Magistrates Court on Friday morning charged with the murder of 22-month old Baden Bond.

The toddler was last seen at his family’s Woodridge home on March 27, 2007.

Police believe Baden was killed sometime between March 26 and May 17 2007 at Woodridge or elsewhere in the state of Queensland.

It comes just days after Queensland police made an desperate appeal to the public for information regarding Baden’s dissappearance.

Detective Inspector Damien Hansen said on investigators had been unable “to find any evidence of Baden existing” after March 27, 2007.

“Someone out there must know what happened to a two-year-old child,” he told media on Wednesday.

Baden’s family moved to NSW just six months after the little boy’s disappearance but he was not reported missing to authoritites until 2016.

Det Insp Hansen said the family had given police “a number of versions” as to where Baden was, but he has never been found.
