A familiar face but perhaps not always known by name.

One of my favourite all time greats I used to love watching 'All Creatures great and small' - used to have funny moments and some very touching upsetting ones too.
Great actor.

Re: Celebrity deaths
OMG another favourite actor of mine Hywell Bennett has died aged 73!
Hywel Bennett, star of television and film, dies aged 73
Image caption Bennett began his film and television career in the 1960s
Actor Hywel Bennett, known for his roles in Shelley and EastEnders, has died aged 73, his agent has confirmed.
The Carmathenshire-born actor's roles included 1960s films The Family Way, with Hayley and John Mills, and The Virgin Soldiers, with Lynn Redgrave.
But it was in the long-running sitcom Shelley that he made his name.
Bennett - whose other television roles included Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Spy and Pennies from Heaven - played the title role in the series.
It ran from 1979 to 1984 and told the story of an unemployed man living in a London bedsit. He later reprised the role in The Return of Shelley, which ran from 1988 to 1992.
Image caption Bennett appeared with Cheryl Campbell and Christopher Guard in Malice Aforethought in 1979 Image caption He also played Kevin in Last of the Summer Wine
He joined EastEnders in 2003 as Jack Dalton, a gangland boss who ended up being killed in an act of revenge.
He also featured in episodes of Last of the Summer Wine and in the Dennis Potter mini-series Karaoke and Cold Lazarus.
Bennett appeared as Peter Baxter in The Bill for five years. His last known role was as Reggie Conway in The Last Detective in 2007.
Image caption In later life he was seen as a gangland boss in EastEnders
He had one daughter, Emma, with former wife Cathy McGowan and was godfather to Crispian Mills, son of Hayley and lead singer of rock band Kula Shaker.

Re: Celebrity deaths
My god how time flies - I used to think Hywell Bennett was the sexiest thing since I don`t know what.
As for Robert Hardy, he spoilt everything he was in because of his over acting - I wish I knew why he had to do it - he must have been warned about it enough.

Re: Celebrity deaths
I don't think there's anyone who died recently included in that clip.
Young Jon Voight does remind me a bit of Glen Campbell though.
Another song from the latter.

So sad, I am still getting over it.. another all time great gone, and a lovely man, who kept us entertained for so many decades Thought I would put this here as a tribute and for posterity, a lovely front page from the Mirror.

Comedian Jerry Lewis dead at 91.
KING OF COMEDY DIES
Jerry Lewis dead at 91 – legendary American comedian and film star dies peacefully at home surrounded by his family’
The actor - who first found fame as Dean Martin's comedy partner in the 1950s - passed away at home surrounded by his family, it has been confirmed

Hate to be negative, he was a great comedian, but this was the worst, interview I have ever seen. Worth a watch and cringe

Re: Celebrity deaths
I liked it! Jerry was always a bit of a hard nut primadonna....but i love his straight answers with no f#cking around.
I have many Saturday afternoon memories of watching his movies but he did rely on Dino to make the movie classy imo.
He was best with his physical comedy as his character stuff i found off putting!! Good innings....like Bruce....didnt they do well!!!

Re: Celebrity deaths
I see that there was confusion on Twitter with Jerry Lee Lewis.
https://twitter.com/CharlieDaniels/status/899333652169076736?ref_src=twsrc%5Egoogle%7Ctwcamp%5Eserp%7Ctwgr%
I must admit that I don't know much about Jerry Lewis; I take it from what Bampots said that he didn't mince his words.

Re: Celebrity deaths
All I know is that I could never watch anything with him in it when I was young - he made me cringe. It was as if he was trying too hard to be funny.

Re: Celebrity deaths
I can't remember seeing anything with him in it on British TV at all.
I knew the name - when I wasn't getting in a muddle with Jerry Lee Lewis - but that's about all.

Like Jill Saward, the Ealing vicarage rape victim who also died this year, this lady only acquired fame because of a dreadful crime.
