Re: The Mystery of Corrie McKeague
I hope it is OK, bluebell! The Facebook page still isn't working for us that don't have a Facebook account...
If someone could ask someone on that page if they even know about this issue it would be great....

I still can't see what's happening in on the FB group. Was hoping to see some updates of the searches and when/where the next ones will take place etc...
That's the first time I've seen the USAF/Party stuff mentioned...

Looks like EDP just removed the whole article it was so bad, Andrew. I have the original article open in another tab.
As for the Facebook group I wonder if a setting has been switched on/off that they don't realise? We're probably among just a handful following the page that don't have a Facebook account!

Why don't you just open a FB account? You don't need to post anything and make sure your privacy is locked down.

For information it seems the FB site has opened up again. Perhaps they were too busy this weekend?
Delete that, it's gone off again

Must've been pretty shocking for it to get 'pulled' fairly quickly then, TTWO.
In this article, Nicola says she will be letting everyone know of the next search date shortly:
http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-suffolk-38358029
Strange then, bluebell, if it was open one min then closed off the next...

I think the glaring issue with it was using a Facebook comment as the basis for linking it with Corrie. I could copy/paste the article if allowed?
I think it was a case of a one man band at a tiny local news site thinking they got their first big story. The article and pictures were done by the same reporter.

Re: The Mystery of Corrie McKeague
In regards to the whole facebook thing then I'm actually surprised they haven't pulled the whole lot now for the good of the case. (if that makes sense).
For example - if someone out there disposed / buried Corrie and knew exactly where they searched and were searching next etc then theoretically they could always keep one step ahead...
Just a thought.

Re: The Mystery of Corrie McKeague
So some info has come to light about Corrie that includes a picture of him on the 3rd of September at a concert in Ipswich that had a repeat date on the very night he disappeared.
I'm not sure about posting the picture though. It is on a public page because I can see it. Anybody awake?
Edit: If no one figures out where this picture is I won't be back online until around 18:30 tomorrow!

It will be ok to post if it's from a public page I would've thought?
Don't understand the significance so look forward to you coming back online.

Re: The Mystery of Corrie McKeague
I suspect this is the root of at least some of the discord between Nichola and the police, the police will not be happy about large chunks of the investigation being played out so publicly.Andrew wrote:In regards to the whole facebook thing then I'm actually surprised they haven't pulled the whole lot now for the good of the case. Re: The Mystery of Corrie McKeague
Another issue I meant to comment on is the praise from Corries grandparents about the police being the quiet heroes, compared to (police officer) Nicholas comments re being let down etc. This really demonstrates how polarised the families are. I feel for the paternal side of the family , they must feel completely sidelined, yet they
love him and are devastated too

Right, got a spare few minutes....If Freedom? could just give me the nod, I'll post the link to the public page? I'll let everyone decide if it is has any significance or not.

I am assuming that is Corrie in the photo during the Meet and Greet. The photo was liked by 2 people. One was the guy who plays Beyonce. I wonder if the other one is the guy in the same photo and if so, did he know Corrie or if they were just randomly paired together? There is also a video of the m and g but don't see Corrie in that.

Re: The Mystery of Corrie McKeague
Sorry I missed all that last night here.
Good to see the photos of the m & g from the 3rd Sept BeyonceExp - I understand he was at the post concert party too.
It is a coincidence that there was another event with BeyonceExp on the Saturday Corrie disappeared.

Re: The Mystery of Corrie McKeague
Hiya. Sorry is this confirmation that Corrie is probably gay then because he was at a drag act? Which I believe are normally associated with gay people. (I have nothing against gay people in the slightest by the way). Just trying to catch up and work out what's what here...

No it isn't confirmation Andrew. However, I think it is an avenue that needs exploring. Not on any moral grounds but to add to any possible background information on his friends or aqaintances outside of those currently known.Andrew wrote:Hiya. Thanks, Chirps. I thought it was widely suspected that he probably mixed in those circles. The white jeans and pink shirt had a 'touch of lavender' about it.
Didn't his family come out and squash those (gay) claims/rumours a long time ago? Maybe they were embarrassed or ashamed but absolutely it needs to be looked at in more detail in which I'm sure the police have been doing and perhaps the family (Mothers side) were in some sort of denial about his 'secret' life....

I have spent a couple of days reading up on this case as it is quiet elsewhere. It certainly is a mystery. His sexual preferences would normally be irrelevant but he had lived away from home for some time and he may not have shown any signs to his mum ( or her have noticed) if indeed he was gay.
However as a young lad in a fairly macho profession, he may have struggled with this. So it isn't beyond possibility that he has chosen to disappear. Not saying he did or that it was the reason but it could be.
Someone pointed out on websleuths that he seemed to be drawing attention to himself by getting asked to leave the club. This hadn't happened before. He separated from his mates. He engaged with strangers verbally and by nicking a bit of pizza and playing rock scissors paper. He spoke to a homeless guy and seemed to look at the cctv cameras. He refused a lift home.
Did he deliberately throw his phone in a bin?
I can't imagine him putting his family through this purposely but if his state of mind was upset, who knows?
I actually really hope he has gone AWOL but sadly, I think he may no longer be alive.

Re: The Mystery of Corrie McKeague
I can imagine him wanting to keep it quiet from his probably macho chums from the RAF and indeed his family but to stage his own disappearance and to keep it going then I don't go along with that at all.
If that was his 'plan' then it would've surely took quite a bit of pre-planning to organise properly. He would've needed to siphon off money from a long period you would've assumed which would of been easily checkable and probably other notable signs as well.
Plus he was bladdered on the CCTV/bouncer's word. Now if you were going to fake your own disappearance you would surely be in the right frame of mind and not kipping in a doorway before you were executing said plan.
Like you though I hope he has just gone AWOL and it's got out of hand and he doesn't know what to do but to remain in hiding but unfortunately and sadly I think that is the least likely outcome of this mysterious and bizarre thus far case.
