Honestly I can't keep up, why nothing in this case can be open, honest and consistent I don't know!
Personally I think T007 had to be uncle Tony
Thanks for your thoughts on T007 eeejay, my thoughts too, I do think this family is very suspect, to say the least.

First comment I've just seen on reddit...
Darroch just admitted the Sun are running a story about Corrie's dating sites tomorrow. He is telling everyone that it's irrelevant!

Re: The Mystery of Corrie McKeague
Just watched 5 mins or so of Darroch on the live Q and A. I get the impression he is selectively ignoring questions about depression, dating apps, etc. If this was not being micro-managed he would just pick a question and answer it. I appreciate the questions are coming up fast but he is deffo selecting.

Tbh watching him was like pulling teeth, well they were always in danger of this blowing up on them - sad tho, don't want any nonsense in the sun (as it's hardly going to be impartial non sensationalist reporting is it?) deflecting from the real issue that a young man has gone missing....

Cheers Benevolent, just watching now.Is it me or is the brother Darroch seriously struggling here. It's a bit shambolic in my opinion.

If and it's a big if, if he's gone AWOL then he certainly won't be coming back once he sees his colourful love life plastered all over the Sun....

Thankfully I lost the sound on the last part of the video, how lucky was I. Seriously though there is something not right with all this and yes as I have mentioned before there are similarities with the confusion etc in the McCann case. Bizarre.

I really don't think Corrie has any intentions of coming back Andrew. It is very strange though: he goes missing, a fb page is set up (media), a £50K reward is offered, a crowd funding account is set up for PI's, and no doubt there will be a payment for the Sun story tomorrow. Apologies but the cynic in me says hmm.... where have I heard that before. I do hope I am wrong here.

Re: The Mystery of Corrie McKeague
Did anyone else think that Q and A was strange? Darroch was very louche about things like mentioning there would be a smell if a dead body was lying around. He was also smirking at a few of the questions. He didn't look like the grief stricken brother of a missing sibling.costello wrote:Andrew wrote:If and it's a big if, if he's gone AWOL then he certainly won't be coming back once he sees his colourful love life plastered all over the Sun....

If it was my brother missing I think I would be a lot more concerned with having researched some of the stuff that was likely to come up but he just said he didn't know to a lot of it. Messy, unorganised and unhelpful.

Re: The Mystery of Corrie McKeague
Now would Darroch have been wheeled out like this is if the recent revelations hadn't come to light...? I doubt it myself, but I've not seen it as yet.
So from a quick read up over there and here - it seems to be a bit of shambolic waste of time then, skirting around or ignoring the uncomfortable questions...
Was there anything at all that was useful information wise?
I'm actually surprised the Police haven't put a stop to this sideshow circus that's been created. Surely it's more of a hindrance now

Just my thoughts here chirpy, but I do think Nicola bowed out of this one and left it to Darroch, complete disaster in my opinion. But I do think I could guess as to the reasons why.

Re: The Mystery of Corrie McKeague
Did anyone notice that Darroch said when talking about C being greedy, that he slid down the wall and onto the ground while still eating his food? Owtte.
If the family didn't see the footage from Hughes doorway, how does D know that?

What does that mean?
So the 'distressing' footage of the doorway has not been seen by the family except Darroch then?
I wonder what's so distressing about it in which Nicola is not allowed to view it then...

Or words to that effect.

Re: The Mystery of Corrie McKeague
I thought it was very odd. If I ever go missing I think my family would be too distraught to do a Facebook Live Q & A. Even when he answered the question whether he thought Corrie was still alive he didn't get upset at all. The only thing I learn't from it is that Nicola has all their phone contracts in her name !!!

I hope the person who wrote this won't mind me bringing it over but IMO it's an excellent post:

In regards to the family's social media presence, I personally believe it's wrong. If they really don't know what happened then they shouldn't be involved at all as it could potentially end up being a murder enquiry, particularly shocking after Darroch gave his personal opinion which was that a third party was involved. So they themselves believe it could be a murder enquiry but continue to fiddle with SM and give information to over 100,000 users on Facebook. If they are insistent on having a social media presence then they can't expect to control what is said and where people look.
Put it this way, you are asking 100,000 people for information that could lead to the whereabouts of your family member but you're telling those 100,000 people that they can only give you information that you've told them is acceptable. Doesn't that defeat the purpose? Not only that, how many cases have we seen where the person who is directing the flow of information is actually the perpetrator - now I am not incinuating that the family are involved in some way, I am merely stating that by taking this approach they leave themselves open to attracting attention to themselves for that reason.
Further to that, if you don't know what happened to your family member, how is it helpful to tell the nation that certain aspects of their life aren't relevant? Even if you or law enforcement have looked into those aspects and came to the conclusion it is of no use? Even though it may seem like that at the present time, it doesn't mean that it doesn't become relevant further down the line when the investigation progresses. How can you make statements like 'AWOL isn't an option' when you are openly saying no one knows what happened? To me this is suspicious in itself, not only does it lead people to believe that you have an idea of what happened, it also puts law enforcement in a position where certain strategies cannot be executed when trying to reel in a suspect.
In regards to the complete whitewash of certain aspects of Corries life, it seems to me that his public persona has now become more important than the truth. Accusing people of digging into his personal life unnecessarily isn't really an accurate description of what has actually taken place. Corrie put his 'personal life' in the public domain because he wanted it to be seen by others who have similar interests to himself, that's not really personal at all is it? I'm not one to judge, each to their own but you can't retrospectively decide that it's personal after he has posted it on a website for the world to see.
That's the thing with social media, you can end up creating a monster that cannot be tamed and the tide can turn against you very quickly. The Top The Lot scheme is so inappropriate it's unbelievable, selling hoodies and umbrellas isn't going to find him but being honest and open about him as a person might.
No one is saying that he was a bad guy or his sexual preferences were seedy, he's a young lad. Making him out to be some cheeky chappy who is single wasn't entirely truthful from the start, then all of a sudden he has a steady girlfriend and a child on the way. It was only ever going to end one way, the truth comes out and you end up with egg on your face and people questioning your motives.
I don't know if the family have anyone advising them right now but if it was me I would inform them to take themselves off social media pronto. Let the police do their job, his name is out there now but people's patience is beginning to wear thin. Not with Corrie but with the family's campaign to change who he was and how he came to be missing in the first place. The goal was to raise awareness and that has been achieved but now I think things could go south very quickly, especially with tomorrow's exclusive by The Sun. All the hard work to raise awareness could well be in vein if the public opinion changes at this point.

Re:The Mystery of Corrie Mckeague.
Just trying to remember what Tony Wringe posted on Reddit a few days ago re- the questions and answers. I'm not completely sure here but I think the inference was that either himself or Nicola would take the questions. So why Darroch?
