More about this one. It's hard to imagine the total devastation - only 3 of the victims have been identified so far.

Four people have been arrested on suspicion of murder over the fire, which broke out at the house in Jackson Street, Walkden, at about 05:00 GMT.

Appeal over death of Commons deputy speaker's daughter

The daughter of the Commons deputy speaker Lindsay Hoyle has died, prompting an appeal for information about her final hours.
Natalie Lewis-Hoyle, 28, was found unconscious at an address in Heybridge, near Maldon, Essex, on Friday morning.
Her mother, Maldon councillor Miriam Lewis, said her daughter's phone was missing and urged anyone who spoke to her the night before to contact police.
Mr Hoyle, Labour MP for Chorley, said the family was "truly devastated".

'Unbearable sadness'

He wrote on Twitter: "Our family will never be the same without our loving granddaughter, sister & aunty. Thank you for the kind support we've received, it is overwhelming."

Ms Lewis asked anyone contacted by "Natty" on Thursday night to get in touch with police and that her daughter's phone had possibly been left on a train from London Liverpool Street to Ipswich.
She wrote on Facebook: "It is with unbearable sadness that I have to announce the sudden death of my beautiful, much-adored daughter Natalie.
"Natalie is my only child, my mini-me. Please help me find out what happened to her in the hours before her death."
Essex Police said the death was "not being treated as suspicious and a file will be prepared for the coroner".

It certainly sounds strange but presumably in view of "no suspicious circumstances" there was nobody else involved.

It's dreadfully sad.Such a young girl . It's not relevant to Natalies death but  Lindsay Hoyle is one of the few MPs that I would class as a decent person,with other peoples interests at heart

Grim.

I used to work with someone who said he went to school with a girl who was destined to be known forever as "that girl who accidentally stood on her Yorkshire terrier and killed it".

I wasn't going to mention this for fear of trivialising such a terrible event but many years ago I accidentally killed one of my son's gerbils.

Fortunately he now has no memory of it but it is forever etched in my mind.

She didn't, she drove into the garden to park the car for the night, but drove (slowly) right over my cat, I was devastated. Wanna another?

My mom didn't eat our hamster, she trod on it below a step down and flattened it

It's horrible to see but we know it's accidental. I also had a budgie which had what sounded like a bad cough, mum got the cough medicine and a tiny dropper. I held the bird and literally one drop into his beak and he was gone. I was in shock for ages after it

I'm sorry but she went quickly back into the office to get some money ,in that time the car has rolled down the slipway entered the water and sunk so that there is no trace on the surface? I'm not buying it at all ,and then some poor police officers have risked their lives to try and rescue the poor child.

I did wonder when I posted the link to the story if there was more to it than we were being told but thought that other cases had just made me paranoid.

The father's comments on Facebook are truly bizarre.
