True, but I can't recall KM trying to open the window at all, by her account the window was opened and she ran to look outside to see if she could see Madeleine, unless it was closed and she had to open it to do that? IMO

In the Panorama documentary, I think they showed newer shutters than were in 5a at that time. There were reports in the case file that the shutters were very old and we know they had already broken in the main bedroom earlier that week. If the shutters were fully down then you would need a tool to slide under and Jemmy them. We know DW went outside and tried to open them and could only do it so far before they jammed. I think hairy Bert demonstrated using a newer shutter IMO and again it is quite insulting to the PJ to suggest they somehow wouldn't have the nous to work this out.

Freedom do you have a view as to why Jenny Murat's interview has been whooshed from the Panarama programme or is it too sensitive a subject to discuss?

She said that she saw a woman in plum clothes near Apt 5 on the night of the disappearance.
This may have been JT who seems to seldom wear anything other than purple.
Jes Wilkins said a similar thing.
Now that puts pressure on JT in my opinion.

Maybe they were told by the Met to delete the reference to the lady in purple. The Met are probably annoyed that someone has already leaked that it is their last lead.  They may have seen the amount of people saying that it`s Jane Tanner and want it silenced.

I watched Panorama but don't remember that.

Because depending on when and where you watched it from it was whooshed.

Surely it would have been the same for everyone who watched it on BBC1 when it was first shown on Wednesday?

I watched it as it was broadcast.

I would have thought OG and the legals would have checked it before broadcast.

It was shown to viewers in Scotland on Wednesday for sure.It was gone when I tried to watch it on Thursday in England.Bizarre I know.
At first I assumed it was the result of pressure from Carter Ruck but the more I thought about it I came to the same conclusion as Mini stated above.

It certainly was in my area - London and the South East.
