Dreadful story - I know from a relative in Ireland that the accused woman is the children's mother and she worked as a nurse in a children's hospital.

Update this evening on the Angela Blackmoore case, I'm afraid I'm none the wiser for it.

When we were talking about the Grace Millane murder, you said that it isn't usual in New Zealand for the names of accused people to be withheld - before or after their trials.

Another case then where the unusual happened. The accused is not the victim's ex-husband, unless he's changed his name.

I only vaguely knew the name and not her reputation. She has humbled a social history group which I moderate with her presence.

Alarm bells sound when something happens the first time a routine is changed.

A new programme tonight at Channel 5 at 21.00 on the Sarah Payne murder in 2000, the most recent case as far as I know in the U K where a complete stranger was responsible.

She's picked the wrong time to be detained under the mental health act - current emergency powers mean that there is presently no time limit for detention in place.

If that means she will not be released, thank goodness.

A video about a case from 1984 which I discovered by chance today. The presentation is irritating and repetitive but it's still interesting. It was claimed that a million children go missing every year in America - what? I suppose that, like the thousands who do likewise allegedly in the U K, most are found safe and only the tiniest minority are due to stranger abductions.

The blurb on the video is misleading as a man has been accused of Jonelle's murder but he has not yet stood trial. In the various interviews with the man, he reminds me in looks of Bill Gates!

A really interesting case. He killed a 12 year old girl in 1984 when he was 33. He shot her. A would be Republican politician and general oddball. Now trial next year and out on $5 bail bond.

Could I hasten to say that he allegedly killed her. He hasn't yet been tried.

After viewing the film, I looked up the case on various sources online and it is obvious to me that he killed the child. I hope the jury in 2021 finds him guilty. I am sure they will.

I pass sleepless nights watching programmes about true crimes and general topics of interest.

This one is about the Beaumont children in Australia (whom we've mentioned before) and another equally famous case there from the year before.

I'm just watching this video about a notorious con man - Martin Brunt is featured in it. No he's not the con man - this was one he didn't get taken in by!

50 years on from the Graham Young poisoning murders. I remember this one well.
