Celebrity deaths

This is terrible. Went to see Rogue One tonight and found out literally minutes before the film started what had happened. Wasn't expecting to see Leia in the picture but the very last scene showed a hooded woman who turned round and lifted her veil. A young Carrie spoke the last words of the film - 'we have hope'.

So sad.

Cheers Dee. Was supposed to be going to see that tomorrow. I'm glad she's in it as I didn't know she was. Very sad indeed.

Sorry Andrew, didn't mean to give a 'spoiler' promise it didn't impact on the rest of the story. Just such a shock to see her. Picture House was quietened and I shed a tear. Bloody end of an era.

Yep it is an end of an era. Almost shed a tear myself when Han Solo was killed off in The Force Awakens

Looks like Carrie Fisher's mother Debbie Reynolds could be next she had a stroke yesterday,according to her son she is not doing well.

Debbie Reynolds has passed away , so sad RIP

Just read that it's very sad and a day after her daughter.

Its awful they seemed so close too . I feel for her daughter Billie and Todd Fisher.

Terribly sad indeed.

A post-mortem examination into the cause of George Michael's death was "inconclusive" police have said.
The star died aged 53 on Christmas Day at his home in Goring-on-Thames, Oxfordshire.
More tests will now be carried out to determine what led to his death, Thames Valley Police said in a statement. The results of these tests are unlikely to be known for several weeks.
Michael's death is still being treated as unexplained but not suspicious.
The post-mortem examination took place on Thursday.

I was chatting to someone this afternoon about George Michael and he was adamant that GM committed suicide and purposely on Xmas day as well....

Gosh, I hope not Andrew.

His partner said he was looking forward to Christmas.

It was his partner who found him. That would have been shocking enough.

I didn't even think of that, PR, until it was mentioned earlier. It did make me think though...

I think it will probably be an accidental overdose in George Michael's case - not necessarily anything illegal. It could be prescription medication; as was the cause of Prince's death.

How sad though if he did commit suicide.

Loads of gossip around - okay, I know that I shouldn't be reading it! - that George and Fadi Fawaz had split up months ago.
