None of the relatives, friends or supporters have inked themselves with
Madeleine's image, or initials, or yellow ribbons etc etc either...

Re: 10th anniversary stories: both lunatic and sensible varieties
Strange in the Mail there is a pic of Fiona but her husband has been chopped off it, yet they are arm in arm. The mention they both attended, so why no pics of him??
[snipped]
Kate's close friend Fiona Payne, who with husband David had joined the McCann's during their fateful holiday to Portugal's Praia da Luz from where Madeleine was snatched in May 2007, read a prayer 'Tree of Hope'.
I won't post the image - it's on the link...
http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-4470752/Kate-Gerry-McCann-join-prayers-Madeleine.html
Also video of Uncle Brian and Aunt Janet on there, as someone mentioned on twitter, poor Madeleine never got a mention.

That's a young girl who's arm-in-arm with Fiona (unless David has his hair in plaits!) - one of her daughters presumably.
Fiona really dressed for the occasion as well.....

On the 10th anniversary of Madeleine McCann's disappearance Lindy McDowell reports from Praia da Luz, the resort at the centre of the unsolved mystery.

That would only be strange if the aunt and uncle believed that she were still alive.
The interview makes perfect sense if the service was a memorial to a dead child, then the concern being only for Kate and Gerry is perfectly reasonable.

That Daily Star psychic waffle that Rosa posted is really p!ss poor.
Some loon away with the fairies saying he's spoken to M. I wonder how much he got paid to say that.
What a disgrace.

That could be David at the back.
I wonder if this message is from their daughter?

In the Sky docu, Brunt allowed Colin to say TWICE that Scotland Yard should have not followed that remit. I am curious as to why. #mccann

Re: 10th anniversary stories: both lunatic and sensible varieties
Last night on East Midlands Today, Dominic Heale interviewed the parish priest who conducted yesterday's sevice. Dominic asked him ( can't remember exact words) if It was reasonable to still have hope after ten years. The priest replied by saying It was still Eastertide, the season of hope when Jesus rose from the dead. Realising what he had said, he quickly added "Of course we don't believe that Madeleine is dead but we do believe in hope."

Re: 10th anniversary stories: both lunatic and sensible varieties
I'm curious as to why a police investigation had any remit at all, beyond 'investigating the disappearance of Madeleine McCann'.

Wonder why she is curious about that? Surely it is Colin Sutton's opinion? I assume this point is about OG only following the abduction remit and CS argues they should have gone back to the start including re-interviewing the M's/Tapas 7?
Hopefully she elaborates on what she means by him being allowed to say it twice.

THE preacher who comforted the parents of Madeleine McCann has spoken out about the case near the scene of her disappearance.
Preacher = that Hubbard oddball.

Re: 10th anniversary stories: both lunatic and sensible varieties
That's a corker Andrew. Possibly my favourite quote So far from Mr Moyes: "There was no doubting the emotion that night." Lots of doubt that there was an abduction but no doubting the emotion. The Moyes were sat on their balcony during the time an abduction is said to have occurred and saw nothing...

And, presumably, heard nothing out of the ordinary either.
I wonder whether they would have been able to hear the shutter going up?

Re: 10th anniversary stories: both lunatic and sensible varieties
Are we edging towards a scenario where the body of Madeleine was removed earlier, with mysterious woman in purple approximately 8 o'clock, before the McCanns had even left for the tapas? If this can be established then it becomes impossible for an abduction to have taken place, because of Kate and Gerry's testimony.

Did any of the grandparents attend the service? I didn't see any mention of them in the article.

Uncle Kennedy was there, but I think he lives locally.

It was covered on East Midlands Today, I only saw The Kennedys - it looked quite low key.froggy wrote:chilli wrote:Did any of the grandparents attend the service? I didn't see any mention of them in the article.
