I have just read elsewhere it could have been to see their lawyer which makes sense.

Well, I would have thought if she was walking the streets of PDL and on the beach twice a year, then it would at least have been in the Portugal Resident newspaper, someone would have said surely.  Their faces are so well known more than many celebs.

I doubt very much she will have walked the streets or even jogged on the beach at PDL........straight into a 5* hotel or maybe a B&B seeing as they are strapped for cash!

I remember having a snigger (childish I admit) at the ambiguity of the expression walking the streets.

I know what you mean....I can't see any takers for that one!

Just maybe that these recycled stories, whether true or not originally, are now being used against them to apply pressure? Can't exactly complain about them if they are/were approved fluff pieces.

Kate and Gerry McCann have not pulled out of Lorraine as they were never booked

The parents of Madeleine McCann have been accused of cancelling an appearance on the Lorraine show, where they were allegedly set to launch a fresh appeal on the ninth anniversary of their daughter’s disappearance.

However, Kate and Gerry McCann were never due to appear on the ITV morning show, it has been confirmed.

A spokesperson for ITV told Mirror Celebs: "The McCanns have never been booked or confirmed to come and appear on Lorraine next Tuesday."

Ah, but were they invited? And did they give a verbal unbinding agreement, without actually confirming anything or being booked? And did they pull out after giving that verbal, unbinding agreement? And did that get leaked to the press? And did Kate and Gerry seethe at ITV, forcing ITV to issue the statement that they have never been booked or confirmed (officially)?

Bet that's the long and the short of it.

They're worried and scared, I bet, not just seething.

So they go after a burglar,burglar in court,wasn't us,there was someone always in 5a,lawyer: the prosecution would like to call GM and KM.

If it's true that the Portuguese say there is no justification in re-interviewing them, it isn't even going to reach a court.

Team McCann aren't even trying anymore.

In the Mirror we have Kate walking the streets of PdL looking for answers while in the Express they are refusing to go to PdL to do a reconstruction because they've been advised it would be "pointless"

Honestly, anyone would think that they're making things up as they go along

Family spokesman Clarence Mitchell said: “Kate and Gerry will never give up searching for their daughter.”

But they never started looking so how can they give up something that they never started?
'abduction', that they needed rest. GM even had a nice little kip in those early 'golden hours' which are so crucial. Then, in later interviews when asked about following up 'sightings' the response or the gruesome twosome was less than enthusiastic. They showed little or no interest in following up sightings.

Yes, it's been incredibly successful, hasn't it, in terms of tracking down Madeleine? I mean it's only gone on 9 years and cost millions. And there have been so many sightings, none of which have been her. And the latest news is incredibly encouraging because it is suggesting that three bungling burglars stole her and spirited her away where no doubt she is living happily in their hellish liar (Except I thought they bungled the burglary, killed her and then stole her corpse......).

Just think, she will be fluent in Portuguese by now if she is living with the bungling burglars...okay, not the right type of Portuguese but nevertheless..

I'm watching the Hillsborough drama where the mother of the two teenage daughters that died was sitting in the wardrobe sniffing their clothes,it was both sad and powerful and very realistic.

Then there is Kate that washed her daughters clothes less than 48 hours after her daughter goes "missing" along with Madeleine's favourite toy.2 Mothers that faced tragedy but there reactions are totally worlds apart.
