Here is the 2013 Crimewatch programme.

I've just done a quick scan and can't see the part DFM refers too,was it a photo shop by someone?

I'm only going by memory as it was such a long time ago now, but KM definitely had a look of horror on her face, as other people have also mentioned.  Perhaps other members can elaborate on that.

I'm not willing to view the youtube vid again and get an excess charge from BT, the McCanns aren't worth it.

Do you mean this shot, DFM? Sadly, it was proven to be photoshopped - see these old posts from the Compilation of Photos thread:

https://maddiemccannmystery.forumotion.co.uk/t266p30-compilation-of-photos

ETA: Thinking about it, these images are from the original CW programme, I thought I remembered reading that the original programme was no longer available to view which was a week or so after the original airing. If that is the case then the expressions on Kate's face are probably not saved anywhere unless some quick thinking person on the internet was able to capture them,

That picture is photoshopped. Someone has pasted the efit picture over the screen showing Maddie's face.

If you look at the footage, that view of Redwood and the McCanns happens at approximately 29.15 into the video. Redwood is actually talking about the other totally unrelated efits of the other suspects seen hanging around the apartment that week. Nothing to do with Smithman or the elimination of Tannerman.

The 'shocked' look is a coincidence, I'm afraid, just one screengrab from a moving film. We all know how many expressions can be caught if you analyse a film frame by frame. And the Smithman efit over Gerry has been edited in.

Check out the vid at 29.15.

http://m.youtube.com/watch?v=feJKnsIObck&feature=youtu.be

Perhaps a cleverer person than me could post the screenshot for comparison?

ETA. At 22.30, however, does Gerry make a mistake? He says something like 'Certainly, if we could get a message to her, we'd tell her how much we loved her'.

"Loved" is spoken quite definitely in the past tense.

Yes, unfortunately it does look like someone's been up to some mischief. Here is a screengrab of that video with the correct pictures in place at the top of the screen.

Operation Grange - Page 5 Germanappeal

I did think it was a little bit of mischief the first time this surfaced. Sadly, this confirms it.

However there's no getting around the fact that the efit in the top picture does look remarkably like Gerry, right down to the expression on his face.

No, thinking about it she could have seen the image on the board that Kirsty whatsit was standing in front of before it was shown on the programme.
Those photos bear no resemblance to the look of horror KM had on her face that night, sorry I know what I saw and I'm not going against that, as other people have also mentioned it.

One of them is from German TV anyway, I'm in the UK.

Please don't try to undermine me, I may be older some of the people on this board but I'm not stupid.

No, sorry nowhere near it.

Where have all these photos come from anyway, wasn't the original tape of the CW taken off the internet, I seem to remember reading somewhere that it was.

Thanks for posting that. Could you please look through it (if you're able to) to see if you can find the moment that KM looks to her right behind GM after I think that "whatsit" stops talking, KM looks shocked at something she's seen, GM is oblivious to it.

I only have limited monthly access to the internet so don't want to waste it on scrolling through the video.

I would be most obliged.

DFM Sorry but having watched it I don't see a bit where she looks over his shoulder. It can't be because she has just seen the efits because at one point near the end G mentions how helpful the new efits are that have been shown tonight so they already knew they were going to be shown. No surprise.

It was near the beginning of one of the CW programs when the presenter said that they had Gerry and Kate in the studio and would be talking to them later in the program... the camera cut to Kate and Gerry sitting in what looked like a backstage area, and they both looked extremely worried, and unaware that they were on camera.

Can anyone remember what Kate was wearing, as that might help narrow it down to which show?

This is the one I'm remembering but perhaps it's not the one in question, as it's already been stated that isn't the one. Sorry :-)

She looks 10 years older in that pic. Frightened and scared. Knows the game will be up at some point.

He looks like the most evil cold hearted barsteward you will ever likely to see.

Those mugshots will go down in history.

Alongside the rest of the notorious.

All IMO.

Having just read that police today arrested 3 men on suspicion of the murder of Claudia Lawrence, I have refound some strength to stay patient in the case of Madeleine McCann and keep faith in the investigation[s].

Thank you, Freedom. I read it on BBC News, but it's in essence the same information, including the police's plea NOT to name the suspects ...

My son used to say that he was trying hard and I'd reply that he was very trying. He took it as a compliment until he realised what it meant!

Yes, after 6 years the police still keep going, and Claudia's death didn't involve a "fraudelent" fund in which many, many people may be implicated and could take the police x number of years to solve as to who and why certain people were involved in it.

As GA said some time ago, "Justice works in silence" -

* * * * * * * * * * * * * * * *

Edition 707 ( 8 Dec 2011)

Gonçalo Amaral

“Justice works in Silence”

His life has been ripped apart since he led the police investigation into the Millennium’s greatest mystery, and came into legal confrontation with Kate and Gerry McCann. Gonçalo Amaral has lost his family, his business, his assets and the income from his controversial book that states all the reasons why he believes three-year-old Madeleine McCann died in apartment 5A in Praia da Luz back in May of 2007. Now, four-and-a-half years down the line, he faces another hurdle: a trial for defamation of the McCanns – due to start in Lisbon in February – in which the couple are claiming 1.2 million euros in damages. Does he think he can win? “Of course”, he says. This is the man whose maxim is “justice works in silence”. He still believes the case of the world’s most famous missing person will be solved. And he told Algarve123 what he thinks is needed to get there…
