Look at Lance Armstrong, where is he now? I'm not referring to the cycling by the way, I'm referring to the deceit of the public who were taken in by him for years, thinking he was such a wonderful individual who did so much for his country and charity.

Just to add: I find those cycling helmets so ugly, they remind me of that creature in the film "Alien", the one that comes out of John Hurt's body and implants itself into anything that is living and breathing and takes over their identity. I don't think I have anything else to say to that.

Point taken DFM,but we don't even know if there is an ongoing operation in relation to the case,a recent FOI couldn't garner much of a response,strange considering they have before,its either because the cost are going sky high or its being wound down,remember from the OG web site it tells us

They are under no obligation to tell any one any thing but why refuse a couple of simple questions.

Please provide copies of the most recent authorised statement of expenditure submitted to the Home Office in relation to Operation Grange. Please provide the cost of all flights by members of the Operation Grange team in 2014 (Jan 1 to Dec 31).
Please include a breakdown with the cost of each flight.

DECISION
In relation questions 1 & 3 and having located and considered the relevant information, I am afraid that I am not required by statute to release this information. This email serves as a Refusal Notice under Section 17(1)(a)(b)(c) of the Freedom of Information Act 2000 (the Act).
This information for questions 1 & 3 has been exempted pursuant to the provisions of Section's 31(1)(a)(b) and 40(2)(3) of the Act.

In relation to question 2, it has been decided to release this information.
The cost of all flights by members of the Operation Grange team in 2014 (Jan 1 to Dec 31) was £15,945.80p.

Before I explain the reasons for the decisions I have made in relation to your request, I thought that it would be helpful if I outline the parameters set out by the Act within which a request for information can be answered.

The right of access to information is not without exception and is subject to a number of exemptions, which are designed to enable public authorities to withhold information that is not suitable for release. Importantly, the Act is designed to place information into the public domain, that is, once access to information is granted to one person under the Act, it is then considered public information and must be communicated to any individual should a request be received.

Constituents of this information attract Section 31 and other constituents Section 40 of the Act.

How do you know they've nothing to fear? Even OG don't know exactly what the PJ have or haven't got. What happened to the DNA samples OG wanted? Genuinely, did they get them?

8 yrs and counting,she sure doesn't look worried to me.
It'll come to an end with a joint communicate,despite all our efforts and searches there just is not enough evidence to bring a successful prosecution against anyone.
The DNA,remember Martin Grime being met after his dogs searches, was it MI5 supposedly? The conversation went like this IMO,Mr Grime what did the dogs find,answer,both dogs alerted to what they are trained for,ie:cadaver and blood.
Question can we determine whom this belonged to,answer no,it'll take corroborating evidence such as DNA to confirm this,ok was the response,and under their breath,we'll make sure that doesn't happen.

All opinion and maybe bull,but can any one with 100% conviction say that there is an ongoing thorough investigation.

No one can say with 100% this is a thorough investigation, (I do hope so, I like to think police are on side with an innocent child) Anyhow, way too much is known of this case, to me, it would be impossible to cover up.
NW has also been working away quietly, which she should be.

So, if you made a donation to Kate, Just Giving will pass your data onto Missing People.

Kate raised (rounded up to the nearest pound for simplicity) £9,200 from 536 donations.

So, the basic fee charged by the Just Giving organisation (5%) is £460 plus roughly another £100 will be deducted as card/PayPal charges.

I'm sure if people knew about how Missing People use their "donated funds" they would not give anything to them. I wonder how their volunteers would feel if they knew the extortionate salaries the "big guns" at the charity were raking in every year.

When I retired I did a years voluntary work at a local charity, there had been many redundancies as the Council had cut back on their funding of this particular charity. I was only supposed to do a couple of days a week, but it became 3 or 4 days a week. However, after about 4 months I began to realise that I was being used as if I was a fully paid up member of staff, I was spoken to as if I was on their payroll, not a volunteer. I was left to do things I really didn't know much about in the office as I'd never worked in a charity environment before, I had technical issues to deal with, deadlines to meet, etc. One day I had a confrontation with the big boss as he was upset that a phone call had been put through to him that he didn't want to take (although it wasn't me who put the call through) he talked to me as if I was dirt, nobody backed me up, the staff were all frightened of him. The next day I told them to stuff their job, I was only a volunteer and would not take any of his cr*p. They were all shocked that I had walked out on them.

I haven't done voluntary work since and won't even think about it now.

Well obviously I can’t give any investigation details out but let’s just say we’re really encouraged. There has been a lot of progress in the last six months plus, last year. The co-operation between the UK and the Portuguese seems to be really good which is really positive for us and I can say there is progress being made.

I think definitely she would as Mr Amaral's lawyer would I think have to inform the other side of this. So I would think KM would have been notified by ID.

Why should she, it's not a public thing. They would probably have to wait, same as the rest of us; and they must have known anyway, that an appeal would be more likely than not.
