So we are all wrong are we !
There could be a policeman just out of shot waiting to arrest her or ID waving a copy of GA's appeal and you would never know by her demeanour. It's about keeping up appearances at all costs. Just one of the many joys of dealing with a narcissist

On a [very female] aside: anybody noticed she had her jaw-line "done" again?

Kate wrote in madeleine:
I’d bought a new pair of running shoes a few days before we left for Portugal and they were certainly getting a good initiation. They were pink, which I wasn’t quite sure about – I wondered how seriously a runner in pink trainers could be taken – but after a few outings in the sand they weren’t looking quite so glaringly and girly.
Can anyone explain to me why pink trainers are considered "girly" and not to be taken seriously but a pink fleece and pink jacket combo aren't? Maybe it's a runner/cyclist thing ...unless, that is, she told yet another porkie in her account of the truth

Re: Kate McCann "more driven than ever" to find Madeleine
Well, I watched Look North (the BBC local news program for Yorkshire) with bated breath and here it is, the news item on Kate McCann and the Missing People cycle ride passing through Yorkshire ...erm ...hang on ...nope ...nothing ...not a squeak ...not a dicky bird.
Now in case you are thinking that there was probably too much news to fit this momentous event into the 30 minute long programme, we viewers have just been treated to a good 5 minutes of highlights from Le Grand Depart because the bloke that organised it is being knighted (they try and find an excuse to show these highlights at least once a month )
Missing People have really bought themselves a lemon with Kate McCann - her ambassadorship lost them huge amounts of goodwill and donations, she can't raise enough to cover the wages of the lowliest MP employee and she can't even get herself on a tv programme whose highlight last week was a visit to the Quilt Museum.

For anyone who missed and would like to watch it.
Cheers Andrew, just managed to watch the video, personally I don't think Kate is very confident at all , or is it just me.

Re: Kate McCann "more driven than ever" to find Madeleine
I got the impression that she could'nt look directly at the camera she seemed to be looking to the side of her.
It looked like that scene in York was set-up,some woman lurches towards Kate and she does'nt even flinch.
It's weird that Scottish news dont show it on the start day but ITN news show's that scene.

Totally agree Kylie, at first I did think she would pull out of the cycle run. Then I thought this was to raise her profile within the media, publicity etc. Now I actually think Gerry and her are on their own, and to be honest I really hope I am right here, who knows. Nothing in the Scottish news actually beggars belief.

Did she, or did she not, cancel all her book signing tours because she was scared of being attacked.
But a totally random woman comes out of nowhere and runs right up to her: she could be about to do anything! What if she was carrying a knife, or acid, or something? Why didn't Kate's "minder" jump in? Of course it's a set-up.
Good job the clip was only 6 mins long though, I don't know which was worse, the simpering Susannah or that harsh ferret face and the whiny Scouse voice.

I thought she would pull out as well,i dont think K&G have the support they once did.Maybe they have been advised to take a step back.

Strange how that hug happened today, the same day Goncalo hands in his appeal.

It was bb1 running over for the quick hug/kiss act.
Was clearly staged.
They didn't lose time by going in the wrong direction or whatever she said.
They spent the best part of an hour trying to set that up and make it look half realistic.
Rubbish.

Re: Kate McCann "more driven than ever" to find Madeleine
Well obviously I can’t give any investigation details out but let’s just say we’re really encouraged. There has been a lot of progress in the last six months plus, last year. The co-operation between the UK and the Portuguese seems to be really good which is really positive for us and I can say there is progress being made.
You've come along way baby! I think Kate is the toughest of tough, she has plucked the ideas from CM who is no longer there but this statement could have been written by him,a masterclass in nothing.......
"Obviously I can't give any details"(cos I know nothing!) " but let's just say we're really encouraged(I know, you know , Honest!) "there has been a lot of progress in the last six months plus" ...(really,what is it then please tell?)................... It's Clarence speak, kate looked older but none the wiser just maybe a bit harder but out of them all she knows exactly what's required, more of the same!

I hate to criticise but it looks to me like Kate has had a bit of work done on her wrinkles.

After the 500 mile bike ride, headlines will surely be "I could not make love to Gerry"

I've been bombarded with mail from Virgin for the past 2 or 3 years, all of it goes in the shredder. I had a lady phone me a few weeks ago saying "we've been sending you mail regarding Virgin TV etc", I said yes I know I'm sick to death of receiving them all, they all go in my shredder.
She asked me if I was interested in having Virgin TV, I said "no", she asked me why and I said I didn't like Richard Branson and I wouldn't give him a penny of my money. She asked me why not but I said I didn't have to answer to her why I didn't like him.
I should have told her to read this and other forums regarding the McCanns.

Yeah, that's a good one.
What a farce it all is.
Can't see an emoticon for pulling hair out and getting really pissed off with it all.
Absolute disgrace.
