When I looked in on McTwitter around lunchtime some noises were being made that the McCann's were due to go on and pulled out. Absolutely no idea whether there was any truth in that.

There's a madness around this case.

I'm actually intrigued in what MW-T is going to say tomorrow and also what Holly and Phil will be contributing.

Are we going to see the usual sympathetic/fawning codswollop or is some of the actual truth going to be served up to its viewers regarding the reasons why they are not in the clear.

However it's played out could be another good indication of where we're at with things.

But I cant help feeling pessimistic about it - can't imagine either Phil or Holly doing much other than fawning over the plight of the Mc Canns. I do believe that
it will be a feature which is acting either on behalf of Team Mc Cann or the government - and will be designed to give a message to the gullible public...

I don't know that the public are so gullible now, after reading the comments in papers. Am keeping my fingers crossed that something is going to break soon-- news that is.

MWT+ #mccann couple not cleared

It really is incredible.....newspaper comments often seem to be ambiguous as to the types leaving comments.. ."This Morning" comments are mostley ordinary looking folk wondering wtf is going on......11.45 for MacCann feature.......

In the Media world, MW-T was the person who was IMO chosen to front the exposure of Jimmy Saville and for whatever reason take a lot of the credit for it.

Now will he also be used to front the McCann exposure as well..?

Could this be the start of it..... Or will he just diss the dogs again, gloss over all the facts, sing a song about how innocent they are and then bugger off.

Yes I believe he did at the very beginning.. Can't remember the in's and out's of it now. Should be on here somewhere.

Loyalties change over the years and this could be a real career breaker for him.... Or not as the case maybe.

I think he wanted to, but wasn't taken up on his offer.

Legally they can't say anything is the nutshell of all that then.

.... At least he didn't peddle out the word 'abduction'.

His theory that she woke and wandered but didn't say anything about a swarthy abductor though.

MWT promoted his theory that she wandered from apartment!! He also said it was very warm and stuffy and implied it was in May.....as he said it was when he went out?? What is his game?

What was the point of all that when they kept saying 'we can't say anything for legal reasons etc'.....

I reckon the top-brass at ITV had the McLawyers on the blower last min so they had improvise and basically cut short it all......

Waste of time that was, he couldn't legally say anything, but he made sure he told us that.! He did say quite rightly this case should be all about Madeleine and she is being forgotten in all this legal stuff. Just how I understood it and of course not actually his words.

... Or OG were on the blower instead and said 'don't say anything for legal reasons' as were about to move in with the PJ and arrests are imminent...
