I see this latest grudging admission as more of a "Yeah, if you say so," to Scotland Yard. I think that the Germans are sincere in their assertions and I still think that the highly specific nature of the original appeal means something. Lots of tabloid stirring of the pot since then. Just because Mark Williams Thomas claims to know who the phone numbers belong to does not make it so. A third car and more properties and relationships have been successfully teased out.

I wonder if Brueckner was the man who neighbour Mrs Fenn's niece saw acting suspiciously as he let himself out of a gate from the front garden of a nearby apartment - probably empty apartment 5C on that fateful Thursday afternoon? She described a man of Scandinavian appearance with very blond cropped hair. I would say that Bruecker does look quite Scandinavian, or at least Northern European, but his hair cannot be described as 'very blond'. However, it could have been bleached blond by the sun or possibly dyed at the time.

A person with Brueckner's background might be quite a useful person to have around if you are going to make the claim that your daughter has been the victim of an abduction. I don't believe that Madeleine was the victim of a random stranger abduction but that is what the parents and their friends would have us believe.

Brueckner has a string of convictions for child sex assault, a rape, burglary and drug dealing. It appears that he could possibly be linked with the disappearance of three other children. One, a teenage girl, was found dead a few days after her disappearance in 1996 but a five year old boy who disappeared from a crowded Algarve beach within weeks of this incident has never been found. A six year old girl who disappeared in 2015 not far from where Brueckner was living has never been found. But police found child porn hidden near Brueckner's property.

Remember what Dr Katherina Gaspar, who went on holiday with the McCann family in 2005, said in her police statement when she realized that David Payne had been on holiday with the McCanns the week that Madeleine disappeared?

A former colleague of Brueckner's appears authentic in an interview clip in the link below.

Having read more about this latest suspect, I wouldn't be surprised if he has some connection with the case but I don't believe he was the 'random mystery abductor'.  He appears to have been active on internet chat rooms, presumably interacting with others who share his depraved interests.

It is possible he was pulled in when the 'disaster' unfolded that week, imo, as help might have been needed, along with potential patsies/scapegoats. . A convicted child sex offender living in the area - especially one possibly linked with several mysterious disappearances of children - might be just one part of the bigger picture. And everyone has so much dirt to dish around it would seem.

The McCanns may possibly be hoping to align themselves with the parents of the three other children who disappeared (one of whom was found dead). In the context of the circumstances of the little boy who went missing on a crowded beach in the Algarve, one cannot help but think of the Sagres incident in the McCann case. The press reported that the McCanns had visited Sagres earlier in the week that Madeleine had allegedly been abducted. It was alleged that a man and a woman were seen photographing a child suspiciously on the beach there at around this time. The inference being that this couple could have had something to do with Madeleine's alleged abduction.

There are networks operating here, imo. And of course the McCanns and their friends did claim that Madeleine might have been taken by a paedophile ring.

It is quite a coincidence that the suspect told his girlfriend the evening before the alleged abduction that he had a 'horrible job to do'. It is my belief that Madeleine died at the hands of her parents and their friends - probably as a result of over-sedation - but I wonder is it possible that this suspect helped remove and/or hide the body? It is a huge coincidence, imo, that he disappeared when Madeleine did. And what was the 'horrible job' which just happened to be on the day Madeleine disappeared and after which he disappeared for several years?

The Joker likes other people to do his dirty work and to implicate other people, in my opinion, and we know that 'confusion is good'. If you are going to claim that your child was stolen by a paedopile, it would be quite handy to have one in the vicinity and perhaps pull him into the web so there is scapegoat. It may also be it was possible to blackmail the suspect over unsolved crimes, given his track record. If involved at any level I presume money was involved but there may also have been huge leverage if someone or several people were aware of other crimes he had committed but which he had managed to evade justice for.

The McCanns did appear to surround themselves with quite a few unsavoury characters what with the private detectives et al. It appears that there was also very aggressive 'trolling' in the media coming from their own camp, despite their accusations of trolls attacking them. Attack is often quite an effective line of defence.

It would be interesting if Robert Murat knew him at all or even knew of him.

A German prosecutor has written to the parents of Madeleine McCann telling them he has "concrete evidence" she is dead.
Hans Christian Wolters said in a letter to Kate and Gerry McCann that he has no doubt their daughter is dead, but he refused to tell them why.


He told them that to reveal the evidence would jeopardise his investigation into the German suspect known as Christian B.

It follows calls from a Portuguese mayor for criminal associates of the suspect to reveal if they know what happened to Madeleine.
The suspect, who is serving sentences for rape and drugs in a jail near Hamburg, has yet to be questioned about the child, who vanished from her family's holiday apartment in Portugal in 2007.
Mr Wolters revealed that he had sent the letter in an interview with British newspaper reporters in Braunschweig, where he is leading the investigation.

The Daily Mail reported the prosecutor said he hadn't even shared key evidence with Scotland Yard and the Portuguese police who are also investigating the case.

Can I ask a favour? If people are going to post Daily Mail links can they please cut and paste the pertinent bits of the article? I can't view their site on Chrome as I use an ad blocker, and if I do decide that I want to read a story I try to open it in Internet Explorer but there is so much extraneous crap on their pages that it never actually renders.
