Re: The "number 1 suspect" Christian B
Oh my goodness, this from Tracy Kandhola……..
7th June 2020
Madeleine McCann: How police broke news to parents they think Maddie is dead
A source close to the German police investigation said: "The suspect is saying nothing to officers so Kate and Gerry could be left in limbo for months, which is agonising for them."
It is understood German police were shown photos or video of Maddie's body or given a graphic account of how she died.
The McCann friend said: "Kate and Gerry wanted to know every single detail no matter how painful and harrowing.
"They have been told everything but sworn to secrecy and were told not to share any news, even with close family."

Very difficult to comprehend exactly what the circumstances are here. If the prime suspect isn't cooperating it's hard to imagine where said information/photos/videos could have come from.

To be taken with a large pinch of salt in my opinion as Tracey Kandhola is involved - I didn't know that she "writes" for the Express now.
Where have the photos, video or graphic account come from?

Last night, Braunschweig state prosecutor Hans Christian Wolters told German newspaper BILD: ‘At the moment the criminal suspicion is based on clues. We haven’t interrogated the suspect yet regarding this case.’

Well, if they haven't interrogated him, they can hardly expect him to say anything to them.

She actually says that in the piece, but it MAY be (not likely at all IMO) someone else has come forward. However if the police were shown this evidence, why wasn't this person arrested... why would they have photos in their possession and so much knowledge. Ha so they looked at the photos and sent him on his way..........yeah. I agree, it has to be a load of codswollop,

Christian Brueckner, who German police believe killed Madeleine McCann, was not involved in her disappearance, it was claimed by a senior Portuguese police official.
The statement was made to a respected Spanish newspaper by an unnamed Portuguese police chief.
The officer, described as a former Policia Judiciaria chief with in-depth knowledge of the Madeleine McCann probe who still works for the force, told ABC: 'There's no evidence Christian Brueckner is involved in her disappearance.
trong enough reasons to be able to charge him were never found.
'People talk about surprises in the Madeleine McCann case with the capture of this German man, but for me it's no surprise.
'This individual was already investigated around four years ago.'
Insisting the aim of German police revelations about the man, now identified as the prime Madeleine McCann suspect, was simply to put the case back into the public eye, ABC quoted the veteran PJ boss as saying: 'At this stage of the investigation, I think they've done it because they think it's needed to shake up the case and attract new witnesses.
'They work very closely with Portugal and now they've wanted to turn this case around.
'They're not looking to solve it now, because that's very difficult. What they're looking to do is agitate the waters.'
It is the first time any high-ranking Portuguese police officer has been publicly quoted as saying he does not believe Brueckner is regarded as a genuine Madeleine McCann suspect, even though he appeared to hide behind the cloak of anonymity for the interview.
The PJ has released only one written statement since the new Met Police Madeleine McCann appeal on Wednesday and subsequent German police comments about the new suspect.
It said hours after photos of the camper van and Jaguar car Brueckner used on the Algarve were published: 'The PJ confirms that as part of the investigation into the disappearance of a British child in the Algarve in 2007, measures are still being taken to clarify completely the situation.
'Through close coordination with the German authorities (BKA) and the Metropolitan Police, through the sharing of information and the undertaking of formal investigative and expert work, in Portugal and abroad, material was collected that indicates the possible involvement of a German national in the disappearance of the child.
'The suspect in question, who is 43 and has a criminal record, lived in Portugal between 1996 and 2007 and is currently serving a prison sentence in Germany.
'The family of the missing child has been informed of these developments by the British authorities.
'The investigation continues.'
On Friday the PJ deputy director gave an interview to Portuguese news agency Lusa, but used it to hit back at criticism over the way Brueckner slipped through their net.
Carlos Farinha insisted the German's name was one of those passed on to British police in case files in 2012 - and said Scotland Yard had never asked the PJ to take a closer look at him.
Responding to reports Breuckner only became a serious suspect a decade after Madeleine's May 3 2007 disappearance following a bar admission to a drinking pal, Mr Farinha said: 'If the suspicions about this man were so obvious, he would have been the subject of requests made by the British, which were always authorised by Portugal, but those requests about him were never made.
He added in his interview with Lusa: 'If the PJ is being accused of giving Brueckner a lack of priority, the same could be said of the Metropolitan Police.
'In theory everything could have been different but in 2007 and in 2012 we didn't known what we knew in 2017.'
He also described this week's fresh appeal as an initiative of the German police, who were 'convinced it could lead to additional information coming in from the Germany community.'
But appearing to hint that the evidence the three police forces have at the moment may not be enough to bring charges and a successful prosecution, he was quoted as saying: 'Suspicions about the German national have grown but unfortunately they are not enough to make him an arguido and formally accuse him.'
The interview ABC carried with the unnamed PJ officer was written by the paper's Lisbon correspondent.

Senior Portuguese police official claims German 'prime suspect' Christian Brueckner is INNOCENT of Maddie McCann murder, and was thoroughly investigated four years ago

The problem, as we all know - and it really shouldn't be like this - is that we have to caveat everything we repeat from the press with if true. So having said that, if true that he changed the car's registration details the day after the disappearance, I'd say that's very strong evidence either of involvement, or perhaps fear that he might come under suspicion. I'd say it's far more damning than Edmonds leaving a day early, but that hasn't stopped him from being the subject of scrutiny in certain quarters.

Funny, I was thinking of Philip Edmonds yesterday, in the context of has his name been mentioned anywhere else than CMoMM as behaving perhaps oddly and claiming to have a photo of Madeleine.
As far as I know, not.

There could be a perfectly logical reason. If he left PDL for Germany, (if that is where he went next) then he probably sold the car to someone in PDL for them to use..... Isn't that the usual reason for changing details? I don't find it suspicious, he would have no need for the car if he had left. Plus as you say, he maybe panicked knowing he would be under suspicion and left PDL. It seems the Portuguese police knew all about him and didn't seem to think he had anything to do with it.

Changing the ownership details on a car takes some time.
Did he sell the car the day after? If so then there would be days, if not weeks, completing the change of ownership.

The story, as far as I can tell, is that he retained the car but changed the ownership details. As you say this would presumably take time; can't imagine it was an online form in 2007 but you never know.
More seems to be being made of the van as his regular vehicle. I don't think I've seen when/how the Jaguar came into the Police's possession. There's something about a vehicle here.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Reported_sightings_of_Madeleine_McCann
On 9 May, the 24 Horas newspaper reported that police had found a vehicle near Praia da Luz that may have been used by the kidnapper.
Not much to go on there.

Agreed. How much can be believed (if any)? Given that, imo, the coronoavirus is a scamdemic then are they just using a previous fake news story to cover up for the current fake news story?

Exactly. Three police forces have had years to come up with this serial sex offender as a suspect? Really?

Hi all. Long time since my last comment on the case here....
It has been fascinating to sit back and take all this latest "revelation" in and also to watch reactions on various forums outside dedicated ones like here. Hardly anyone is buying into this latest story, though.
One question I have revolves around this suspects car(s). What are the details of the cars and what where the movements of them between May 3rd 2007 and today as far as is known? Something about ownership being transferred? Are they mentioned in the PJ files?
In regards the seemingly ridiculous release of mobile numbers (when is this ever done by police?) I still wonder if this is all an exercise in trying to get under an individual or individuals skin? MWT's tweets about it make it seem farcical in any case.

IF there is any truth in the suggestions that what happened to Madeleine had something to do with paedophilia or even to paedophile rings then this latest suspect could be part of the 'wider agenda'. Madeleine didn't just wander off and disappear into thin air. There are literally dozens of indications that Madeleine's parents and the Tapas - at the very least - know what happened and that she died. Someone or several people committed a crime - that part of the McCanns story is true, imo, and the McCanns are not ruled out as having any involvement.
Criminals are often involved in gangs or wider circles of organized crime and this can and does happen at the highest levels of society. Leaders of countries can be criminals and possibly often are (Tony Blair?) Child trafficking is a huge problem - Epstein was at the top of a pyramid and look at his huge networks of acquaintances, contacts and friends. At least some of those people will have been aware of what was going and some would have been involved.
So, theoretically, if what happened to Madeleine is part of a wider crime scene, then I see no reason why a convicted sex offender (if he is indeed one!) could not have some links with the case.
It might be a question of joining together a wide-spread series of dots. I wonder if Murat (who was, of course, a previous suspect) and/or Malinka knew (of?) this person? There might be some mileage in looking into any possible links given that Murat was so very involved in the case and given that the McCanns and their friends were at great pains to point out that they had not known Murat prior to his offering to help police by translating that fateful week.

It is troubling me that this guy seemed to lead something of a charmed life; apparently a lot of assorted criminality with only the odd token sanction here and there. Possibly a little bit of the Marc Dutroux about it all?

Hi TTWO; it's all in this thread really. CMoMM have a similar one going but it's made hard work by Verdi's "interventions".
Apparently the Germans recovered the VW bus from a scrap dealer who had allegedly paid Mr. B. €5000 for it. Now I know these vehicles have some inexplicable cache but I reckon he woz robbed, if there's any truth in that.
Where the Jaguar has been in the meantime is less clear.

Indeed. I fear this latest 'suspect' is merely a distraction. I suppose it is possible there are some connections to a wider organized crime theme, but that doesn't mean he had anything to do with Madeleine's disappearance. A good distraction to bury bad news as the 'black lives matter' protests continue in the UK. While ostensibly about the murder in the USA of a black man by white police, I think the timings of these protests is no coincidence as young people in particular feel powerless over their futures with the coronavirus scamdemic still dominating the news and their lives.
Police in countries around the world have been given power over the most basic civil liberties such as going outside, seeing relatives, meeting other people. These are drastic measures and given that we now know the virus targets the elderly and those with underlying health conditions there was bound to be some kind of backlash. When police are seen to be abusing their power to the extent of murdering a man they are arresting, underlying tensions and fears around what amounts to a police state are bound to surge to the forefront.
The sooner we get out of this Orwellian mess the better. Did no politicians anticipate that such draconian attacks on civil liberties would result in some civil unrest, not to mention public dissatisfaction, an air of malaise, depression and other negative consequences? The virus is of little threat to people under 65 and/or people without serious underlying health conditions so locking down whole populations doesn't make sense, imo. Those at risk can self-isolate or take greater precautions until the virus peters out/loses its virulence and/or an effective and safe vaccine is found.
On the latter point, I was speaking with a person who works in pharmaceuticals and tracking of adverse reactions to drugs/vaccines. It was his opinion that a vaccine for coronavirus will lead to a pandemic of adverse reactions - but that's good business for pharma of course!
It's extraordinary but the whole plandemic/scamdemic has Bill Gates' grubby little paws all over it. Gates' was gushing with glee at the start of it all demanding 'global' solutions; 'final solutions'; no back to normal without a vaccine and 'new normals' which I presume means 'social distancing' (who coined that ridiculous phrase?). To allow a person like Bill Gates so much power over public policy is sheer madness, imo.
This sounds like Detective Amaral speaking? If it is him then at least by withholding his name the press cannot prefix it with the customary 'disgraced'. How the MSM love their labels? 'Philanthropist', 'disgraced', 'anti-vax' etc. How about 'Disgraced philanthropist' as a new label?

ETA: Talking of Orwellian, the mentality behind this 'lock-down' is reminiscent of the mentality around the McCann case, imo. In the latter, every single person in the world APART from the McCanns and their friends, was a possible suspect. The ONLY people who weren't suspects were those who were statistically speaking by far the most likely to be responsible. This never made sense and it never will, however long police go on investigating the case. With the coronavirus threat, we are urged to protect the NHS and to save other people's lives by staying at home. We are being selfish if we ignore the rules because we might infect other people. So does that mean that every person has to only think about other people's welfare and not their own? That makes no sense. People are not responsible for other people's health. This is not the black death. The best person to look after oneself is oneself. If you are vulnerable, scared etc then take precautions. It is best if people look after their own health. Pull down your own oxygen mask before helping others. This is how we used to deal with epidemics - the vulnerable and sick would be careful and stay at home and everyone else would get on with their lives. I would imagine Bill Gates is guffawing into his billions when he sees photos of people in oxygen masks and 'social distancing' three year olds at playschool.
IMO!
